Most elementary school libraries in our component districts receive these
sets of dvds and videos on seasonal topics four time per year. We have
updated titles with DVDs
where it was legal for us to do so and have made several changes. We moved Rosa into the Winter set from the
November/December set, thinking her story would be more useful during Black History Month. Two brand new titles
have been added. Winter is a new production from Visual Learning with outstanding nature photography and
information about the season. First Grade Takes a Test is a great story written by Miriam Cohen to remind children
and adults that being smartest on a test is not the only thing that matters in a classroom. Searching for Lincoln and
Winter: Nature’s Sights and Sounds have been removed due to low usage and dated material.
