Centre Update
Our Sensory Room is aimed at children and babies of all ages and needs. It is a relaxing environment for parents
and children to focus on particular senses such as touch, sight, sound and smell.
Due to the size of the room, the maximum number we can accommodate in each session is three adults and
three children. If you would like to book an hour slot, between 9:00am-16:00pm, please call, email
or just pop in.
What’s on this month
Learning Language Through Play: Tuesdays 6th June to 27th June 13:30-14:30
A 4 week course facilitated by a speech and language therapist to show parents and children techniques to
learn language through different types of play, such as messy play.
If you would like to book a place please let a member of the centre team know, places are limited to 6 children.
Book now to avoid disappointment.
Helping Children Learn Through Play: Friday 9th June to Friday 23rd June 11:30-13:15
The training includes: child development and learning, supporting children in areas of need, preparing children
for school, educational games and activities.
Please speak to a member of the centre team to book your place. There are limited crèche places available
Time to Talk: Tuesday 13th June 09:30-11:30
Get some tips on talking and listening to children and young people about growing up, relationships and sex, as
well as looking at ways to support young people.

Money Matters: Friday 30th June to Friday 7th July 11:30 – 13:15
The sessions include: money saving tips, searching out bargains, planning, spending and dealing with debts and
savings. This is generic training and learners will not be asked personal information about their financial
situation.

How to find us
By Train: Alight at Orpington Station and catch the R9 bus going towards the Ramsden Estate.
By Bus: R9 from Orpington High Street Bus Stop S to Tintagel Road Alight at Bus Stop K the stop by the Priory
School. Cross the road onto Eldred drive and continue until you reach Blenheim Road which will be on your
right, keep on the left hand side of Blenheim Road and you will see the entrance to Blenheim Primary
School, continue on the footpath until you reach the Children & Family Centre.
353 from Orpington High Street going to the Ramsden Estate. Alight at Eldred Drive Bus Stop M walk
towards Blenheim Road which is just set back from the bus stop. Keep on the left hand side of Blenheim
Road and you will see the entrance to The Blenheim Primary School, continue on the footpath and follow the
signs to the Children & Family Centre.
