WHEN Tuning the Vine 2015 takes to the hippest streets in Cape Town, linking some of the City’s most exciting venues through a curated mid-week wine adventure. On Wednesdays 7 October, 11 November & 9 December 2015, from 5.30pm to 9.30pm, city slickers will be able to walk from one venue to the next – finding a unique wine experience at every stop along the route. WHERE Tuning the Vine 2015 #InnerCityWineRoute adventure will stretch from the vibey Bree Street to the sassy Wale Street including venues such as theYoungblood Art and Culture Gallery, Dorrance Wine Cellar, Signal Hill Winery, Streetfood, Publik Wine Bar, Weinhaus & Biergarten, House of Machines, Bocca, Tjing Tjing Torii and Rooftop Bar, the Gin Bar, the Reserve Wine Vault at the Taj, Mint and the Twankey Bar! WHAT’s ON The #InnerCityWineRoute adventure will offer an extensive range of exciting wines to taste, food and wine pairing, wine crash courses, wine cocktails, wine tasting challenges, cellar talks, live music, sommelier guided tasting tours, wine inspired tattoos and so much fun! Each venue will sell wine by the glass and the bottle. PRICE Access to the #InnerCityWineRoute adventure will cost R150 for tickets purchased through Quicket and R175 if purchased at the venues on the day. You will have access to tasting wine across all 13 venues and can participate in crash courses and cellar talks on a first come first served basis. Sommelier Taste Tours, limited to small groups of 6 to 8 people, will cost an extra R100 per person. A Taste Theatre food and wine pairing experience hosted at Tjing Tjing Tori will cost an additional R200 per person. WHAT TO BRING You will be allocated a table, black tablecloth, signage, tasting glasses and ice. You will have to bring your own ice buckets, spittoons and water jugs. M a r k e t i ng We will provide social media marketing material for you to promote your Tuning the Vine #InnerCityWineRoute participation on your own social media platforms. Tuning the Vine, Fine Wine Events and all participating venues will be using their mailings lists and social media platforms to promote the event too. We will distribute leaflets on the First Thursday before the event with the aim of drawing on this rapidly growing urban crowd. Complete the Tuning the Vine 2015 application form and pay your fees to confirm your booking and secure your place now in the hippest urban wine experience of the year. We will also be driving a PR campaign focusing on print and digital media. Tuning the Vine will also run a “buy 3 get 1 free” promotion in the 4 weeks running up to the first event on 7 October 2015.
