Properly inspect for defects before installing. Wear work gloves to prevent dirt and oil from being transferred to the luminaire. Dimming line or Additional branch circuit Power feed canopy (5” diameter) Non-feed canopy (2” diameter) Junction box in ceiling AC line Crossbar 3 Mark distance between canopy sets on ceiling based on the size luminaire being installed (see information at top of page). 4 Attach crossbar to junction box in ceiling with two #8 screws (provided). Stud 5-inch powerfeed Canopy canopy Cable coupler 2-inch non-power feed canopy Slip ring 5 Pass cable through cable coupler and screw onto stud. Pass cable through canopy and slip ring (power canopy shown). Cable coupler 2nd cable 6 Hang second cable to a structural ceiling member capable of supporting 44 pounds and cover with non-power feed canopy. Pendant Bracket Installation When the pendant accessory kit is supplied the product must be installed by the following instructions. 1 Place bracket in top channels of the luminaire. Use two per fixture. Use provided screws to attach bracket to luminaire. Use two screws per bracket. 2 Use suspension cable to attach through hole in bracket to connect to luminaire. Attach gripper to pendant bracket through hole in bracket with provided bolt and nut. Use suspension mounting appropriate for ceiling type. Squeeze tip to adjust 3 To adjust height and to level fixture, squeeze tip of the gripper and pull the suspension cable to the desired height. Clip the cable with cable cutters to finish the appearance. Wiring Dimming Leader cable 1 Remove screws and knockout plate from fixture. Remove holes from knockout plate to make AC and dimming connections. 2 Connect leader cable to the AC line clipping harness connectors together. Repeat for dimming leader cable. Dimming wires Strain relief bushings AC wires 3 Install cords using provided strain relief bushings. Connect the black (line), white (neutral), and yellow/green (ground)wires from the luminaire to the matching colored wires of AC cord. Connect the gray and violet wires from the luminaire to the matching colored wires of the dimming cord. 4 Reattach knockout plate with cords attached to fixture with screws. NOTE: A red wire in the through wiring is offered for an additional circuit as needed. (See wiring note below). Connect both green wires to the grounding screw. Connect the gray and violet wires from the luminaire to the matching-colored wires from the dimming circuit. Troubleshooting Symptom Solution Luminaire does not light • Check input voltage and check power supply input/output connections. • Check circuit breaker. Luminaire is dim • Dimming wire connection shall be checked and if connection is not proper, reconnect it. If wire is harmed, replace it with an intact one. Also check that dimming wires are not in short circuit. Luminaire is blinking • Ensure power supply temperature does not exceed its maximum rating. • Refer to the tc point located on power supply. Luminaire does not dim • Check dimming wire connection. Suspension method won’t engage with luminaire • Check that the suspension method is one of the approved types in the installation instruction. • Check if the steps for suspension were properly followed.
