Kilconquhar Castle Estate has over 15 years of experience in planning and organising weddings.
Whether you are having a very intimate wedding with close family or friends or a grand
gathering from all over the globe we would be delighted to host your special day.
The estate offers 2 venue rooms for your wedding, and 120 acres of manicured gardens and
woodlands offering perfect opportunities for the all-important wedding photographs.
The Lindsay Room offers an excellent impression from the moment you step through the
doorway into the main castle building, you enter the flagstone foyer and pass the intricately
carved doors into the baronial Lindsay Room with its 16th century oak panelled walls, ornate
ceiling and large open stone fireplace. The Lindsay Room seats 90 guests for a wedding service,
60 guests for a wedding meal and up to 70 guests for an evening reception.
The Marquee is perfect for the larger occasion; our luxury marquee lined with champagne silk
is a stunning and elegant venue, with full amenities and luxury carpet throughout. The marquee
glistens courtesy of the sparkling chandeliers that twinkle above our hardwood dance floor
where 70 to 200 guests can share the experience of your bespoke wedding. Due to the heating
system in the marquee it can be used for weddings from January to December. The Marquee
can host a wedding meal and evening reception of up to 200 guests.

Wedding Breakfast Menu Options
All wedding menus are served with tea and coffee after the meal. Children under the age of 5 will be charged at £5.00 per child if they
will be eating. Children aged 6 to 10 will be charged at £17.50 for a child’s portion and children aged 11+ will be charged at the full
menu price.

The 3 Course set wedding menu will offer a set choice for your wedding guests the starter, main course and desert. Any special dietary
requirements for your guests will be catered for separately with advanced notice. The menu selector will offer the range of dishes

Venue Hire of Kilconquhar Castle
On the day of your wedding you will have access to the venue rooms from 8.00 am to 12.00 midnight which
is when our bars must close due to licencing.
The Lindsay Room and use of the estate grounds will be charged at £500.00 for the usage for the day of the
wedding.
The Lindsay Room, Marquee and use of the estate grounds will be charged at £1100.00 for the usage for the
day of the wedding.
Weddings that require access to the venue rooms the night prior to the wedding must confirm prior to booking
that this is possible, in peak wedding season it is often the case that a wedding may be on the day prior.

Exclusive Hire of Kilconquhar Castle
Due to the level of accommodation available on the estate we are not able to offer exclusive hire of the venue
at any time of the year barring one week in December and a few days at the start of January when the estate
is very quiet. Exclusive hire of the estate over the two periods will be at a cost of £5000.00 per day which will
include hire of accommodation for up to 150 guests on the night of the wedding.

The accommodation prices are based on a nightly rate. Bookings for 2 nights in the self-catering
accommodation will be offered a 10% discount, no discount can be offered for single night stays in selfcatering accommodations. The hotel rooms are not offered at a discounted rate. Self-catering
accommodations are given an electric voucher to cover the average use of electric, usage above this amount
will be charged at 15p per KW.
The self-catering properties have a check in time from 4.30 pm, there is a minimum of a 2-night stay on selfcatering accommodation. The hotel room’s check can check in from 1.00 pm. Check out for all
accommodations is at 10.00 am on the day of departure.
Breakfast can be included in your booking for the self-catering accommodations at a rate of £9.00 per person
per night. If guests choose not to book breakfast but opt to have breakfast on the morning of their stay the
breakfast would be chargeable for walk-ins at £11.75 per person. Booked breakfast guests are guaranteed
tables, for guests that are walk-ins would only be taken if there is availability.
A general overview of the available of the accommodation for the wedding would be 7 hotel rooms, 2 2
bedroomed units and 2 3 bedroomed units accommodation 34 guests in bedrooms and a further 8 with the
use of sofa beds. A greater level of accommodation may be possible on certain dates, if you require a larger
amount of accommodation this should be arranged prior to booking the wedding.

dependant on availability and bookings. Weddings will be offered set accommodation rates at the time of quotation, prices will not increase following this.

Wedding Tours
The wedding team are available to show you around the estate facilities throughout the week and discuss
your personal requirements for your wedding. We do ask that you pre book and appointment to ensure that

Menu Tastings
A menu tasting will be available to all wedding couples once a wedding is booked this will be chargeable at
the price of the chosen wedding menu. The menu will the dishes that you have chosen for the wedding day
menu.
Booking a Wedding Date
A wedding date can be held for you provisionally for up to 30 days. Following this period we would require a
£500.00 non-refundable deposit to be paid to secure the wedding date. Payments for the wedding would
then commence three months prior to the wedding date in the following increments



25% of the estimated cost 12 weeks months prior to the wedding date
25% of the estimated cost 8 weeks prior to the wedding date
25% of the estimated cost 4 weeks prior to the wedding date
The remaining balance is then due 10 days prior to the wedding date

We have a range of recommended suppliers which may be of interest to whilst you are planning your wedding.
We do not operate a commission basis with any of our suppliers leaving you free to choose the ones that you
think will cater for your needs.
