This event is brought to you by Visit South Jersey (http://visitsouthjersey.com) The event is intended to celebrate South Jersey “arts” in the largest sense of the word, and Markeim is one of the flagship locations! Visit South Jersey is hoping to include as many art centers, galleries, museums, coffee shops, etc. in this regional art opening – all on the same day, all at the same time. New Jersey wineries and craft breweries will also join in the celebration as we all will raise our collective glasses at 8 PM to toast the Arts in South Jersey. Artists are encouraged to take selfies and tag their photos with #sjartsopen. The organizers of the event are hoping this could qualify for a Guinness Record for largest art opening or largest group toast. The goal of this initiative is meant to bring greater awareness and attention to the arts in South Jersey. Even if you do not participate in the Power of the Flower exhibition, we hope you’ll join us for this event.
