Reported Problem:
Client required Area measurements to be “square meters” rather then “square feet”.

NOTE: Out of Box (OOB) TRIRIGA is not set to ALL (BO) or ALL (forms) for this query.

By default it is using the Building (BO)

The base BO (Location) is using the wrong Default UOM.
The base BO (Location) “UOM source attribute” is empty.
So for it work we need to set the “UOM source attribute” on Location BO.
Confirm this “UOM source attribute” is using the correct UOM of “square meters”.
Reproduced by support and confirmed by development to be a defect.

Development solution:
This is an application defect. Multi BO query renders the result based on base BO. Since on base BO source
uom attribute is not defined, it is not showing the uom value correctly. Need to configure the base BO
(Location BO in this case) to have the source uom attribute defined as it is defined on other BOs in the
module.
The customer can resolve it by modifying the location BO and setting the Source UOM, to match the UOM
source of the building. Client can do this change in their environment.
Fixing:
The process of fixing:In Data Modeler
1. Identify if has a UOM source attribute.
In the example the “UOM source attribute” is empty. Need to set this to “Area Units”.
2. Check the source attribute (Area Units) is using the correct UOM.
In the example it is using “square – feet”. So need to set this to “square meters”
3. Correct the source attribute default UOM value if wrong.
4. Populate the UOM source attribute for the field.
So in this example we :- Set default UOM for “Area Units” to square meters (Location.triAreaUO)
- Set “UOM Source attribute” to Area Units (Location.triRentableNU)
5. Save the fields and publish.
6. Then check the query uses the correct UOM after the above changes.
