INTENSE
PICK-UP
New product!
It is now over 25 years since I took over the remnants of the Suffolk Cider Company. We started off
with our Classic range of pressed and filtered single variety English apple juices (Bramley, Cox and
Russet) – something of a novelty then – and still amongst the very best of our products. They set the
standard for everything else that has followed, and the range has also been extended to include
Apple and Summer Berries and Apple and Elderflower. Using filtration techniques borrowed from
the wine world, these are clear pressed juices and as good as can be.
We started pressing organic juices nearly 20 years ago. The Soil Association sets a very high
standard for growers to meet and we often have difficulties obtaining all the fruit that we need.
Nevertheless, our Organics range is now wonderfully varied and we are confident there is something
for everyone! All the fruit juices and blends are available in both 75cl and 25cl glass bottles.
Vegetable juices have been popular in northern Europe for many years and are surprisingly sweet,
tasty and refreshing. They are definitely set to become a genuinely popular option as prejudices
are slowly being overcome. Our Organic Vegetable Juices – Carrot, Tomato and Vegetable –
are available in 75cl glass bottles.
Apple
We always include as much Bramley as we can,
so this juice is crisper than most!
Tomato
A lively tasting juice, lighter and quite distinct from the
standard gloopy tomato juices made from concentrates.
Carrot & Apple
A deliciously lively combination. Try it – you will
be surprised how well they work together!
Carrot
Even more carroty than the Carrot & Apple! Some
even say it helps you see in the dark!
Apple & Ginger
Made with crushed root ginger not extract,
so it is smooth and gently warming.
Vegetable
A blend of tomato, celeriac, carrot, cucumber and
beetroot livened up with some lovage and basil.
Pear & Raspberry
The sweetness of pear juice smooths
the tartness of the raspberry.
Pear
A light fruit juice which will vary in taste
with the varieties being pressed.
Apple and Cherry (25cl only)
Cherries are my favourite fruit and I
couldn’t resist having them in the
Organics range!
Naturally high in dietary nitrate
The original Beet It is a blend of 90% beetroot and 10% apple.
We introduced the Beet It with Ginger and Beet It with Passion (fruit)
to offer clearly distinctive flavours – both are still made with
80% beetroot juice, and so are naturally high in dietary nitrate.
We supply nearly 200 universities and
research institutes around the world for
research into the benefits of dietary nitrate.
For more please visit www.beet-it.com.
Beet your
personal best
Made from concentrated
beetroot juice cut with lemon,
our 7cl SPORT shots boast
c400mg of dietary nitrate.
They have been quickly adopted
by many elite sportsmen and
women throughout the world,
including David Weir CBE, six
times London Marathon Winner and multiple gold medallist.
The Beet It SPORT bar also contains c400mg of dietary
nitrate, but is also packed with 50% oats – slow release
energy to keep you going.
And our new Nitrate 3000 contains c3000mg natural
dietary nitrate per bottle – that’s more than 400mg per
35ml serving. Just dilute with water, add to a smoothie
or yoghurt, or mix with muesli or oats.

New variety!
Behind that moustache there is a younger me heavily caked with make up trying
to imitate a very splendid Edwardian gentleman whose picture we were refused
permission to use! I hope you like this classic range of still juices as much as I do!
Finest Spiced Ginger
A delicious, smooth and rich non-alcoholic aperitif.
Savour it on its own or drink with a generous splash of
whisky as a Ginger Mac.
Ginger Refresher
Spiced only with pressed root ginger juice, this is different
to most ginger beers which add capsicum to make them
more fiery. So please expect more ginger... and less fire!
Lemon Refresher
A classic still lemonade made with pressed lemon juice,
with apple juice rather than sugar used to sweeten it.
Quite tart like a ‘citron pressé’.
Rhubarb Refresher
Rhubarb is such a quintessentially English favourite for crumbles and fools (desserts not
people!) that we overlook its juice. It it naturally tart, but when sweetened with delicious
pressed apple, it makes a lovely refreshing drink.
Our Thorncroft cordials are plant-based cordials with a hedgerow theme and an emphasis on fine natural
flavours. Our cordial supremo ensures we maintain their provenance, quality and above all, homemade
feel. With strong dilution ratios – you can make up to 3½ litres per bottle – they are great value!
Wild Elderflower
The very original elderflower cordial – one
of the most refreshing summer drinks ever.
Pink Ginger
Delicately pink and utterly refreshing.
Wild Nettle
The captivating aroma of wild nettles.
Autumn Rosehip
An enchanting cordial made from real rosehips.
Cranberry & Hibiscus
Sharp fruity cranberry blended with exotic
refreshing hibiscus petals.
Kombucha
A rosy drink with undertones of iced tea and peach.
Detox
Dandelion and burdock with an added
blend of liquorice and ginger.
There must be something here we can tempt you with.
I am very proud of all our juices – though I do have
my favourites! We make them for you to enjoy.
Although carrots have long been grown in East Anglia, there is
no great tradition for juicing them.
We think a delicious
glass of carrot juice
with its fresh, lively and
surprisingly sweet taste
should become a popular
breakfast drink. It has
about half the natural
sugar content of most fruit
juices as well as a being
great choice for one of
your 5-a-day portions of
fruit
and vegetables.
Minstrel - poetic bunny
I have always found making a great Bloody Mary frustratingly hard to get right.
With so many ingredients, it is easy to misjudge the quantities. My solution
was Big Tom – guaranteed to get it spot on ….every time. And as a bonus
it turns out to be a deliciously filling and low calorie drink on its own –
even without the vodka!
Royal Warrant
We are very proud to have been granted a Royal Warrant from
Her Majesty the Queen in 2002 (her Golden Jubilee year).
Royal Warrants are a mark of recognition to companies who have
regularly supplied goods to the Royal Family for at least five years.
