Location:
Located at the heart of Munich at Karlsplatz/Stachus
square and just a ten-minute walk through the
pedestrian zone to the world-famous Marienplatz, the
Königshof Hotel is close to the best-known sights and
museums in the city. Only 500 meters to the central
railway station, and with the underground and tram
right in front of the hotel, the Königshof is easy to get
to by public transport from Munich Airport (40
minutes) and the exhibition centre (20 minutes).

Geisel Privathotels is an exclusive Munich group of
hotels and restaurants foundet in 1900, owned and
managed by the Geisel family for four generations. Its
hotel portfolio includes the luxury hotel Königshof with

Excelsior with its famous wine restaurant Geisel’s

hotel Cosmopolitan. A winery, the exclusive wine shop

Concept:
The Gourmet Restaurant Königshof with its
unparalleled view over Karlsplatz/Stachus, has a
Michelin star and 18 of 20 possible points in the
Gault Millau. Chef Martin Fauster, at the Hotel
Königshof since 2004, selects fresh and quality food
daily from local suppliers and creates a seasonal

menu that combines traditional and modern elements
in a sophisticated and yet focused manner.
The restaurant can seat up to 120 people.
Wine has always had a very high priority for the Geisel
family: they have their own vineyard near Würzburg.
The wine store Geisels Weingalerie (previously
“allaboutwine”) was established by Stephan Geisel in
2000 on the main floor of the hotel Königshof. This
specialist in European wines is an established supplier
of the top local restaurants.
