This book was quoted from extensively in the New Testament which attests to it’s importance to Jesus and the early church, thus to it’s importance to us today as New Testament Christians. As I mentioned before Genesis - is referenced or alluded to 68 times in NT: Exodus – 75 times Leviticus – 18 times Numbers – 7 times And in Deuteronomy – it is over 78 times DATE: Around 1406 B.C. Then God expanded that to a Nation, Hebrews/Children of Israel). Each step shows the ever-increasing reach of a loving God to bring All people to Him. We are designed and commanded to “Reconcile” or help people come back into a right relationship with God. Remember one of our key verses 1 Corinthians Ezekiel 18:23… Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” [This is]the declaration of the Lord GOD. “Instead, don’t I [take pleasure]when he turns from his ways and lives? 2 Peter 3:9… The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.
