Tips for using Accept
“Accept” refers to saying “yes” to an invitation, to receiving something, etc.
The company president accepted the invitation to the party.
She accepted his wedding proposal.
I’m going to accept the birthday invitation.
He accepted the wedding invitation.
Example Dialogue:
Andre : I can’t accept the fact that our relationship is over.
Paul
: You need to move on. She’s with someone else now.
Andre : I know they will break up soon.
Paul
: No, they won't. She’s recently accepted his wedding proposal.
DEFINITION:
ACCEPT: to receive something willingly; to answer “yes”

Tips for using Except
“Except” is used as ”apart from”, “not including” or “excluding”.
The teacher asked everyone except me. (preposition)
She mentioned everyone except for the class genius. (preposition)
Please bring all the books except for the old ones. (preposition)
The top student was excepted from the final exams. (verb)
Example Dialogue:
Nam : The teacher asked everyone to go to the class, except me.
