Key to using the Proposals Map
This proposals map forms part of the Local Development Plan 2016. It consists of a number of inset
maps which must be read together to identify the relevant policy designations and proposals for any
area within East Lothian.
Four of these inset maps have been produced at the East Lothian scale and identify policy
designations that are best shown at that East Lothian wide scale:

The remaining inset maps have been produced at settlement scale and identify the relevant policies
and proposals that apply within each of the settlements of East Lothian. Other than for the
greenbelt, countryside around towns and the countryside, the policy designations shown on the East
Lothian wide inset maps will not be repeated at the settlement inset map level. Therefore for
completeness the settlement inset maps must be read in conjunction with the relevant parts of each
of the East Lothian wide inset maps that relate to the settlement in question. For ease of reference
