Essay Contest - Tomb of Unknown Soldier
To: Washington DC Trip Club Students,
As part of our upcoming trip to Washington DC, our travel group will visit Arlington National Cemetery, which is one
of our Nation's most sacred shrines that honors our veterans and their families who have sacrificed their lives for

Our cemetery tour will include a stop at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier where Swartz Creek Middle School has a
reservation to directly participate (Maximum: four students) in a wreath laying ceremony. If you would like to
represent Swartz Creek Middle School as one of the four participants, please participate in the essay contest
according to the terms below with the selected students being announced at our Thursday, ​February 7th,​ meeting.
