GRASS TETANY PREVENTION
Beachport Liquid Minerals introduced a high magnesium
mix as part of our prescription mixes, due to the demand
for a product to aid in increasing Magnesium levels in
livestock to help combat grass tetany and milk fever.
This product contains all the trace elements, amino acids
and electrolytes that are in our other BLM products, but
with the alteration of increased Magnesium levels.
Use BLM High Magnesium as a tool in your grass tetany
prevention plan.

a cure.
Be proactive at times that grass tentany and milk fever are traditionally
prevalent.
Please note: It is recommended that frequency is every 3 weeks and at
half of the normal dose of other BLM products. Refer dose rates for further
instructions.

It is recommended to halve the normal dose of other BLM products
to increase the frequency to 3 weeks to ensure magnesium levels
do not drop. Refer dose rates below.
Recommended frequency rate is once every 3 weeks at the dose
rates in the table below or as directed by a Veterinary Surgeon. The
preferred application method for BLM products is through the water
supply. If drenching use a short nozzle gun, and take care not to
drench onto lungs, but DO NOT drench if using with other products
containing Selenium.
BREEDER:
A heifer you’re trying to get in calf, a cow in calf, or a cow with calf at
foot to 200 kilograms is classed as a breeder unit.
