All Fluids
1. Measure the required amount of fluid*.
2. Whilst stirring, slowly add the correct dose of instant THICK. Ensure
each scoop is levelled.
3. Stir for a few seconds until fully dissolved.
4. Allow to stand for 5-10 minutes, then re-stir before serving. Consume
thickened fluid and refrigerate any unused portions at 4°C or less for
up to 24 hours.
For larger volumes (1 litre and over) we suggest using a mechanical device such as a stick
blender. To prevent aeration, do not break the surface of the fluid while the blender is running.

Food for special medical purpose. Fluid & food thickener for the dietary management of dysphagia. Fluids and foods thickened with instant THICK are high in available
water for the dietary management of dehydration. Use under medical supervision. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition.
Once prepared, food and drinks should be handled and stored according to your site’s Food Safety protocols. Flavour Creations recommends use of the ‘2 hour/4 hour rule’ for serving
vulnerable persons, refrigeration between serving, and discarding any leftover product after 24 hours. Viscosity of products will remain stable well beyond any food safety time limits.

+ Water
1. Measure 170-190 mL of water*.
2. Whilst stirring, add the required dose of instant THICK (from table below) and stir for 30 seconds
or until dissolved.
3. Allow to stand for 5-10 minutes, then re-stir.
4. Once the fluid has thickened, gradually add in 1 scoop (40 g) of AdVital.
5. Stir until the AdVital has fully dissolved, then consume.

Method for Powder & Liquid Movicol:
1. Prepare Movicol as per instructions (dissolve one sachet of Powder Movicol in 125 mL water, or
25 mL of Liquid Movicol in 100 mL water).
2. Whilst stirring, add the required dose of instant THICK (from table below) into the water and stir for
30 seconds or until dissolved.
3. Allow to stand for 10-20 minutes, then re-stir before consuming.

2. Prepare carbonated beverages by adding a pinch of sugar
and stirring thoroughly until bubbling subsides. Remove
any excess foam from the surface of the fluid. This will
prevent excessive bubbling when instant THICK is
added.
3. Whilst stirring, add the required dose of instant THICK
(from table below) and stir for 2 minutes or until dissolved.
4. Allow to stand for 5 minutes, then re-stir before
consuming.
