SUBJECT: A Taste of Beaufort Arts & Crafts Market Invitation, May 5 & 6, 2017
A Taste of Beaufort will be held on Friday, May 5th and Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at the Henry C.
Chambers Waterfront Park in Historic Downtown Beaufort, South Carolina. Last year this event
brought more than 6,000 residents and visitors to the park. The weather is warming up and the days
are getting longer inviting folks from all over to come spend a fun day outside with us. There will be
free live music Friday night and Saturday that always draws a big crowd and plenty of good food and
activities for the whole family to enjoy!
The Arts and Crafts will begin on Friday, May 5th, 2016, from 12:00 pm until at least 6:00 pm and
we strongly encourage vendors to remain open until at least 10 pm to take advantage of the crowd for
the concert. The Market will be open Saturday, May 6th, 2017, from10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Each
retail space will measure 10x10 and each exhibitor will be responsible for providing their own tent,
table, partition for hanging displays and lighting, if necessary for Friday night. No refunds will be
issued for inclement weather. Set up begins no earlier than 8:00 am for both Friday and Saturday.
Friday set up must be completed by 11:00 am. On Saturday, set up must be completed by 10:00 am
and you must remain until 5:00 pm when the festival ends. I know setup and breakdown are
extremely hectic, but we have been asked to please unload/load your vehicles as quickly as possible
and get your vehicles out of the way to allow other festival vendors access to the park and their
booths and allow for traffic flow.
Please note that your booth fee does not include parking.
If you wish to be a festival participant, please fill out the vendor application and return along with your
photos and check for the appropriate amount. All applications must be received with photos
of raw materials, work in progress, completed work, and exhibit by Friday, March 17, 2017.
Space is limited and the festival is a great opportunity for you to sell your Low Country related
products!

Set up Friday begins no earlier than 8:00am, must be complete by 11am. Exhibitors must stay until at least 6pm with
the option to remain open as late as 10pm. On Friday, May 5, 2017, the Arts and Crafts Market is 12pm – 6pm;
Saturday, May 6, 2017, set up begins no earlier than 8:00am and must be complete by 10am. The market is 10:00am –
5pm. Breakdown will be no earlier than 5pm on Saturday. Please unload/load your vehicles as quickly as possible and
move to parking area to allow all festival vendors reasonable access to the park and good traffic flow.



Exhibitor must provide own tent, table, chairs, partitions for hanging displays and lighting if needed.
Work must be done by exhibitor and not by staff or employees. If you did not make it, please do not bring it.
It is very strongly recommended that tents be properly secured by at least 40 lb. weights –
ABSOLUTELY NO stakes in the ground permitted.



Exhibitor is strongly encouraged to stay open after 6pm on Friday night during the entertainment.
No straw or hay allowed in or around booths.
Booth sharing is not permitted.

Refunds will NOT be given due to adverse weather conditions.

Exhibitor is responsible to secure parking.

Hold Harmless Agreement:
The undersigned agrees that he/she will be responsible for any loss or damage to his/her merchandise or for personal
injury during the course of the A Taste of Beaufort and releases the Main Street USA, Beaufort, and the City of Beaufort
from any claim whatsoever there from. It is further agreed that the undersigned will abide by all rules as set forth by the A
Taste of Beaufort Committee and will hold harmless and release the A Taste of Beaufort Committee, Main Street
Beaufort, The Beaufort Chamber of Commerce and the City of Beaufort from any civil liability hereunder regardless of the
nature, cause, or extent thereof. I hereby acknowledge that NO refunds will be issued due to adverse weather
conditions.
