Twenty Challenges for the Twentieth Anniversary
Choose one (or more) of these challenges. Complete it on your
own or with a friend; as a small group or as a family.
Double-up: pay for your own drink or meal
and donate the same amount again so that
someone else can benefit from a free gift.
Visit Cornerstone 20 times.
Collect 20 fliers about Cornerstone and
hand them out to friends, people at work
etc.
Empty your purse or pocket of loose
change every day for the next 20 days and
give it to Cornerstone.
Pray for Cornerstone every day for the
next 20 days.
Spend £20 at Cornerstone on books,
gifts and cards (it doesn’t have to be all
in one go).
Offer 20 hours of volunteer help at
Cornerstone.
Take 20 guests to Cornerstone (not
necessarily all at the same time!)
Buy some treats from Cornerstone (biscuits,
sweets, etc) and share them with 20 people.
Make a point of saying where they came from.
Try 20 different items off the menu at
Cornerstone (spread it over several
visits if you like!)
Buy some “Smarties” and eat them. Fill the
empty “Smarties” tube with 20 pence pieces
and give it to Cornerstone.
Start giving £20 a month to Cornerstone.
Or make a one-off donation of £20 to
Cornerstone. Remember to “gift Aid”
your donation.
Buy 20 drinks at Cornerstone (if you take a
friend each time this could be 10 visits)
Give £1 to Cornerstone every day for the
next 20 days.
Mention Cornerstone 20 times in October – put up
a poster; link to Cornerstone on social media; post
or tweet about a visit; recommend Cornerstone to
a friend or work colleague; talk to a friend about a
recent visit, etc.
Buy £20 worth of Cornerstone
vouchers to give away (eg 4 x £5)
Tell 20 people about events at Cornerstone
that they might be interested in.
Speak to 20 different people at Cornerstone
(perhaps spread over more than one visit).
Can you remember all their names?
Add a memory to the display and donate 20
pence (or more) to say “Thank You” for
Cornerstone’s work over the past 20 years.
