Connections Program*
If you are between the ages of
14 and 24 and participate in the
Youth Connections program, at the Youth Center in Nyack you can:
• Register for a High School Equivalency class (TASC) and Vocational Training
• Enroll in a program that will help you get started on a career path
• Sit in on workshops about resume writing and interviewing
• Learn about paid work experiences or internships by meeting with
a career counselor

Discounts and Funding Opportunities

Seniors: A 25% tuition discount will be given to the first three adults ages
62 or older who register for a class that is 15-30 hours long. Offer may not
be combined with any other discounts.

In addition, any open seats on the start date of 15-30 hour courses may be
claimed that day by senior citizens without charge.
Multiple Class Discount: Students who take two or more classes during
a single session are eligible for a 15% discount on the class with the lowest
cost. This discount may not be combined with other offers and is applied
when the second class runs. Adult Career and Technical Education,
Defensive Driving and Ed2Go online courses are not eligible for this discount.
Veterans: The Division of Veterans Affairs has approved certain Adult Career
and Technical Education and Part-Time Vocational Programs for veterans

Low income or Displaced Workers: Rockland BOCES is an eligible training

Automotive Technology
The courses offered by Rockland BOCES cover a range of fields from
advanced manufacturing and health care to gourmet cooking and
business support. Most of our skilled programs may be completed in
one year or less. We also assist our students with their certification and
licensing processes, as well as develop their valuable job seeking skills.

Literacy*
Rockland BOCES offers flexible programming to meet a variety
of literacy needs in the community. The Adult and Continuing
Education Literacy programs are for those 18 years of age and up. Students are
assessed and counseled into the most appropriate program option to assure
success. We deliver intensive, high quality literacy programs and services.
