comprehend and draw conclusions and generalize about the issues and struggles of
life. A book may have more than one theme. Remember a theme is not a summary of
plot. Examples of a theme could be; the horror of war, people’s mistreatment of
others, love will find a way, the courage of the human spirit, persistence pays off, good
vs. evil, giving up, trusting in GOD, etc. The theme usually depicts what the author is
trying to say about about human nature or life in general.
