Why Dynapack
The answer is simple….sensitivity; repeatability; portability & reliability!
Our team has put a lot of hard work into developing this product and maintaining its sensitivity
& repeatability. The Dynapack gives you the ultimate in control for engine mapping and
development with RPM changes from 1RPM to whatever increment the user defines.
We use hydraulics. We do not use inertia, we do not use air, we do not use eddy currents, and we
do not use friction. Hydraulics are incredibly powerful, yet precise. We have total control of the
axle… Literally. By direct coupling to the hubs we eliminate the TYRE/ROLLER interface which
means NO WHEEL SLIP and therefore NO INERTIA to mask any small changes.

sensitivity
Measure minuscule differences when testing with a repeatable vehicle
(as not all vehicles are that repeatable) you can see .010” in a spark plug
gap; the differences between engine or driveline fluids; the alternator
load when the headlights or hazard lights are switched on.

The Dynapack runs are repeatable to within three-tenth’s of one
percent.
portablilty
That’s right, the Dynapack is portable! Whether you want to move
premises, operate a mobile business; take it to another shop if moving
the vehicle is impractical or even take it to the track. You can test,
diagnose and load test the vehicles right in the pit.
Single phase power, low pressure cooling water & a fan is all you need to become
operational out of the box!
Custom Solutions
The Dynapack™ range of products is constantly being developed and
we’re constantly called upon to push the envelope with new and varied products.
Although most of our products are from the automotive world, the Dynapack™ range of
products have gained such a reputation worldwide, that we have been asked to make custom
solutions in other areas, such as sports and engineering.
Team New Zealand was one of these for whom we designed a grinding simulator for training
and analysis of fitness of each team member.
Custom solutions have also been built for use within the Army, Navy and Aeronautical industries.

DATA LOGGING & SHIFT+F4
This mode is intended to produce an
AutoPlot functionality that is allowed
under F11 AutoPlot set up.
This function is intended to provide a
load that you can hold the engine at and
test for acceleration and deceleration fuel
values and any associated temperatures
and pressures.
This function is intended to allow you to
set the front to rear torque values by for
the specific vehicle. It is then saved to
that vehicles folder for the next time. This
torque distribution is only available in
LOAD mode only.
This function is intended to be used for
holding any engine speed under load
for the purpose of defining a map or
loading the set rpm at any load up to
the limit of the torque specified for your
model Dynapack.
This feature allows you to see the
full NUMERIC DATA in columns. Your
column selection’s can be saved in
CONFIGURATIONS for future access.
PROGRAMMABLE DATA LOG
Programme your own test cycle selecting
a start RPM - finish RPM and transition
type and the time frame within this
programmable log. Add as many as you
need to create your own test cycle or
track simulation.
GAS ANALYSER
Easy view user interface with all data
available in the Strip graphs real time and
the user defined screen post processed.
The Dynapack Gas Analyser is fully
integrated with the DAQPLUS software.
NEW Software
Features
GEARBOX SETUP SCREEN
This screen allows you to capture the
individual gears and diff ratios. No scaling
is used on this screen. No dyno control is
used in this setup screen.
GEARBOX SIMULATION SCREEN
This screen shows the relationship
between TORQUE and RPM for all gears
and allows you to simulate a different
gearbox under the “WHAT IF” column.
*No Scaling is used on this screen*

Acceleration vs Speed and Engine
Acceleration Profile.
USER DEFINED SETS
This allows you to configure and
save multiple “QUICK VIEW” sets of
data relevant to a specific test. All
data is saved with the Vehicle’s Files
and is available when reviewed later.

Sets - Quarter Mile, Terminal Velocity,
Gear Changes, Clutch/Torque Converter

AXLE TORQUE & AXLE POWER
Using cursers and zoom
allows you to check DELTA’s.
4WD TORQUE SPLIT
This graph will show you 4WD front
and rear axle torque.
TEMPERATURE GRAPH
This screen allows you to check that you
have not gone outside of your desired
temperature range when using standards
correction.
ACCELERATION (g’s)
Enter vehicle weight etc. In F11 and see
acceleration throughout your RPM range.

With the exception of the USER DEFINED
DATA SET,
STATUS PANEL/HOME

SIMULATION GRAPHS all other graphs
accessed using the PAGE UP/PAGE
DOWN keys have “X” & “Y” axis scaling.
The default setting it AUTO SCALE,
however the COMPARISON screen is also
different with 2 x Y axis to scale.
COMPARISON SCREEN
Allows you to analyse your data and
compare one run against another. A solid
line is the SOURCE run and a dashed line
is the COMPARISON run imported from a
previous file.
Source AP1/AP2 will change relative to
the cursor position on the screen
