The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy
is the nonprofit membership organization
created to preserve the Golden Gate National
Parks, enhance the experiences of park
visitors, and build a community dedicated to
conserving the parks for the future.

Crissy Field Center Multicultural environmental education center that has served, in
10 years, 600,000 youth and family members, many from underserved neighborhoods
Crissy Field Restoration Community-driven
$34 million project, completed in 2001, that
transformed Crissy Field from an abandoned
military site to a beloved national park
Fort Baker “Post to park” conversion in 2008
created the Cavallo Point lodge and the
Institute at the Golden Gate, which leverages
the parks as a catalyst for sustainability
Golden Gate Bridge Collaboration with the
Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District to celebrate the span’s 75th
anniversary and improve visitor experiences
through facilities like the Bridge Pavilion
Lands End Community-supported project
featuring restored habitat, new trails and
overlooks, improved forest health, and a new
Lands End Lookout visitor center
Mori Point Habitat restoration for threatened and endangered species, while enhancing trails at a vital site in San Mateo County
• Coordinating 35,000 volunteers
annually throughout the parks
Redwood Creek Restoration of watershed
to improve habitat for endangered coho and
other wildlife at Muir Beach and other sites
• Connecting 20,000 kids and youth with

Crissy Field Center programming
The Presidio Historic effort to build trails,
bikeways, and overlooks; expand Rob Hill
Campground; and revitalize ecosystems

at the Golden Gate Raptor Observatory

initiative, now 10 years old, to build a worldclass trail system while protecting resources
