College Visits
Valor attracts college and university visits from across the world. For the
seventh year in a row, Valor is honored to have the opportunity to host
the Youth for Christ Christian College Fair of Colorado, bringing more
than 70 college representatives together on the Valor campus. Students
are advised how to efficiently and strategically attend college fairs, so they
can maximize their exposure to the colleges, while having meaningful and
memorable conversations with the representatives.
Valor students also have the opportunity to meet with college
representatives in a small group setting. Last year more than 115 U.S.
and international college representatives sat down with our students to
talk about their college or university, and as Valor’s reputation grows
we are anticipating even more this year. These visits provide students
opportunities to speak to a diverse cross section of highly selective,
Christian, or unique institutions such as Wheaton College, Air Force
Academy, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt University, Duke University,
Pepperdine University, University of Southern California, Westmont
College, Savannah College of Art and Design and many more.

Spiritual Life
The Spiritual Life Department takes seriously the calling to help students
grow in wisdom, knowledge, leadership, faith and service. The work of
Spiritual Life at Valor is guided by the premise of, “The absolute and
complete exaltation of the Lord Jesus Christ in all matters of faith and
practice.”
At Valor we do not compartmentalize spiritual life, we expect our
Academics, Arts and Athletic programs to incorporate spiritual life into
their programs and plans. We seek to help this process with a vibrant
Chapel, mentoring/discipleship relationships, prayer partners and an
overall guidance of spiritual life on and off campus. Partnership with
parents is vital in the development of this most important area of our
student’s lives.
10
Valor Arts+Media
The Valor Arts+Media Program offers dynamic experiences and training
in both contemporary and classical arts. With over 40 courses, our
program affords serious art students opportunity to develop their craft at
a high level. Of course, we also welcome the student who simply wants to
experience an arts course or enjoy developing a new creative skill!
Our Program also offers outstanding after-school opportunities. Hundreds
of students participate in our five annual productions and concerts,
growing their passion for theatre, instrumental music, vocal music, song
writing, dance and technical theatre. Co-curricular Arts opportunties
include our community youth orchestra, Valor Symphonics, a fun loving
Blue Crew Pep Band, Veritas Dance, and our competition-level vocal
ensemble, Valor Voice.
We are delighted that many of our Arts+Media students have been placed
into leading art colleges and programs, carrying forward the vision to
transform the world for Christ through their creative talents!
11
The Valor Center
Valor is currently constructing The Valor Center for Culture and Influence,
a $35,000,000 national level performing, visual and media arts center,
scheduled for completion in July 2015.
Reclaiming the Arts for Christ
In a time when schools are reducing their investment in Academics, Arts
and Athletics, Valor is increasing investment in our students and their
future. The Valor Center will serve to train tomorrow’s leaders to impact
the culture and to transform the world.
12
The Valor Center Will...
...Grow Valor to 1200 students, the optimal
enrollment for independent schools
in terms of ability to offer extensive
programming while still fostering a strong
and connected community.
...Offer uniquely professional arts and media
programs. The combination of specialized,
industry level spaces with an intentional
forging of professional relationships will
offer our students exceptional college and
career advantage.
...Grow a unique long-term vision for the
Valor Arts+Media program. We intend to
launch specialized conservatory programs
in both performing and visual arts that
allow students to take a guided major in
their area of choice.
...Improve all facets of Valor. The Valor
Center is designed with flexible spaces
that afford unique opportunities to host
an array of events, such as large group
lectures, debate tournaments, conferences,
banquets and community functions.
13
Valor Discovery
Valor Discovery offers service and educational enhancement experiences
locally, nationally and around the world. Through Discovery experiences,
students grow in leadership, character, socially, emotionally, and spiritually
while they explore other cultures and worldviews beyond their local
setting. These experiences are designed to transform students’ lives by
integrating faith as they compassionately serve the less fortunate, examine
worldviews and are able to mature beyond the comfort and context of
their local community.
Each experience seeks to broaden students’ understanding of people and
their view of God’s greater kingdom, as they learn to love, serve others
as the “Hands and Feet” of Christ and develop as transforming agents
for Jesus Christ. In recent years, Valor Discovery has empowered over
1,300 students and leaders to grow as they have traveled on 70 different
experiences in 21 countries.
Through Discovery, Valor students will serve a minimum of 25 hours per
year with a cumulative of 100 hours by the end of their senior year. In
every case, local or abroad, our desire is that Valor students will develop
and model Christ’s servant leadership and embark on a path of life-long
service.
14
Tuition and Fees
Tuition for 2014–2015 is $16,100
Additional fees are required for participation in athletics and selected
classes (generally art classes) to help defray the cost of materials and
student deliverables. Fees for 2014–2015 are paid at the beginning of
each sports season or semester. Participation fees range from $300 to $850
depending on the sport, and $10 to $320 depending on the class.
All Valor students are required to purchase and supply their own
textbooks. Valor has a partnership with a textbook supplier that provides
both new and used texts and also offers buy-back services at the end of
each semester. Typically, book fees will run $400–$600 per year depending
on a student’s class selection.
Tuition Payment Options
One Payment Single annual payment due June 5
Ten Payments*Ten monthly automatic drafts,

obligation.
