DIRECTIONS TO PARKING AND HUNT ACCESS
LITTLE BENNETT REGIONAL PARK - Northern Tract
(Tues, December 6 and Thurs, December 8)
Check-in/out- Located at 23705 FREDERICK RD.CLARKSBURG, MD 20871.
From I-270- take Exit 18, Route 121- Clarksburg Road. Follow Clarksburg Road, North, 0.5 miles to stoplight.
Turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow for 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Camping Ridge Road at
entrance to Little Bennett Campground. Form a line leading to the camper registration building. Staff will
check hunters in one vehicle at a time.
Site 1 and 2 Parking- From check-in, turn right onto Rt.355, Frederick Road. Travel 2.8 miles and turn right
onto Hyattstown Mill Road (at firehouse). Travel past house on right to gate on left and park at sign.
Site 3, 3B, and 5 Parking- From check-in, turn right onto Rt.355, Frederick Road. Travel 3.5 miles and turn
right onto Rt.75. Travel 0.5 miles and turn right onto Lewisdale Road. Travel 1.3 miles and turn right onto
Prescott Road. Travel 1 mile (road will turn to gravel after entrance to golf clubhouse) and continue along
road into second meadow area and park on left at the sign in the meadow.
Site 4 and 4B Parking- From check-in, turn right onto Rt.355, Frederick Road. Travel 3.5 miles and turn right
onto Rt.75. Travel 0.5 miles and turn right onto Lewisdale Road. Travel 1.3 miles and turn right onto
Prescott Road. Travel 1 mile (road will turn to gravel after entrance to golf clubhouse) and continue along
road to first meadow on left.
Site 6 Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight. Turn left at
stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.0 miles (travel down long hill). Turn left onto gravel access road
(Western Piedmont Trail) and travel across bridge to end of driveable road. (When scouting, remember to
close the cable gate behind you, but do NOT lock it)
Site 7 Parking- From check-in, turn right onto Rt.355, Frederick Road. Travel 3.5 miles and turn onto Rt.75.
Travel 0.5 miles, turn right onto Lewisdale Road. Travel 1.3 miles, turn right onto Prescott Road. Travel 0.6
miles, turn left into maintenance yard driveway. Park on right at the sign in employee parking area.
Site 8 Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight. Turn left at
stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.0 miles (travel down long hill). Turn left onto gravel access road
(Western Piedmont Trail) and travel approx. 1.0 mile (across bridge). (When scouting, remember to close
the cable gate behind you, but do NOT lock it)
Site 9 and 10 Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight. Turn le ft
at stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.0 miles (travel down long hill). Turn left onto gravel access road
and travel 0.7 miles. Park at either of the access gates at right or left. (When scouting, remember to close
the cable gate behind you, but do NOT lock it)
Site 11, 11B & 11C Parking- From check-in, turn right onto Rt.355, Frederick Road. Travel 3.5 miles and turn
onto Rt.75. Travel 0.5 miles, turn right onto Lewisdale Road. Travel 1.3 miles, turn right onto Prescott Road.
Travel 0.3 miles, turn left onto driveway at sharp right-hand bend in the road. Travel down driveway and
park at sign. (When scouting, remember to close the cable gate behind you, but do NOT lock it)
Site 12 and 12C Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight. Turn
left at stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.0 miles (travel down long hill). Turn left onto gravel access
road (Western Piedmont Trail) and travel 0.2 miles. Park on left opposite trailhead. Site 12C will need to
walk back the road to find where the site trail cuts into the woods. (When scouting, remember to close the
cable gate behind you, but do NOT lock it)
Site 9B & 12B Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stopl ight. Turn left
at stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.0 miles (travel down long hill). Turn left onto gravel access road
(Western Piedmont Trail) and travel approx 0.3 miles. Park in gravel/grassy area on left. 9B then walks
ahead down gravel road until the reflective trail cut in to the left. 12B Reflectors start on right side of road
across from parking. (When scouting, remember to close the cable gate behind you, but do NOT lock it)
Site 14 Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight. Turn left at
stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.8 miles and park on right in field at mowed trail access. Walk back
across road to access site trails.
Site 15 and 15B, Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight. Turn
left at stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.7 miles and park on right in gravel lot. Walk back across
road to access site trails via trailhead (Browning Run trail).
Site 16 and 16B, Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight. Turn
left at stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.7 miles and park on right in gravel lot at trailhead (Browning
Run trail).
Site 17 and 17B (one vehicle only), Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow
to stoplight. Turn left at stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.2 miles; at top of hill park on right at gate
access.
Site 18 Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight. Turn left at
stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.0 miles (travel down long hill) and turn right into gravel lot.
Continue onto gravel access road (Kingsley Trail). Follow gravel access road, through gate, and park on right
at first parking sign. (When scouting, remember to close the gate behind you, but do NOT lock it)
Site 19 Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight. Turn left at
stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 1.5 miles and turn right into gravel parking lot.
Site 20, 20B, and 26 Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight.
Turn left at stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.0 miles (travel down long hill) and turn right into gravel
lot. Continue onto gravel access road (Kingsley Trail) . Follow gravel access road 1.25 miles. Road bends to
left and goes up hill, past schoolhouse located on right. Travel uphill to open area ( hike-in camping area).
Continue straight onto trail through the back of the camping area, travel past the first trail split and park at
parking sign at second trail split (utility corridor). 4-Wheel Drive is strongly recommended for this parking
access. Proceed slowly and cautiously. (When scouting, remember to close the cable gate behind you, but
do NOT lock it)
Site 21, 21B, 21C, 24 and 24B Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to
stoplight. Turn left at stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.0 miles (travel down long hill) and turn right
into gravel lot. Continue onto gravel access road (Kingsley Trail). Follow gravel access road1.25 miles. Road
bends to left and goes up hill, past schoolhouse located on right. Travel uphill to open area. Park on left at
parking sign (hike-in camping area). (When scouting, remember to close the cable gate behind you, but do
NOT lock it)
Site 22 and 22B, Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight. Turn
left at stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.0 miles (travel down long hill) and turn right into gravel lot.
Continue onto gravel access road (Kingsley Trail) . Follow gravel access road 0.4 miles, and park on right. Do
not impede traffic passage. (When scouting, remember to close the cable gate behind you, but do NOT lock
it)
Site 23 Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight. Turn left at
stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 1.2 miles and park on right (in small meadow just after Little Bennett
Regional Park sign).
Site 25, 28 and 29, Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight.
Turn left at stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 2.0 miles (travel down long hill) and turn right into gravel
lot. Continue onto gravel access road (Kingsley Trail). Follow gravel access road 0.75 miles, and park on
right at bend in the road in front of old school house. (When scouting, remember to close the cable gate
behind you, but do NOT lock it)
Site 27 Parking - From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight. Turn left at
stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow Clarksburg Rd for approximately .6 miles and turn right onto
Snowden Farm Pkwy. Take the first left onto Burnt Hill Rd. Follow Burnt Hill Rd for approximately 2.3 miles
(if you come to Prices Distillery Rd., you’ve gone too far). Turn left onto gravel drive and follow to parking
area on the left.
Site 30 Parking- From check-in, turn left onto Rt.355, Frederick Road and follow to stoplight. Turn left at
stoplight onto Clarksburg Road. Follow 1.5 miles and turn right into gravel parking lot.
