A cost effective and practical videoscope for veterinarians n n n n n n Quick and easy to use Battery rechargeable Multiple applications Lightweight an transportable Affordable endoscopic examinations No maintenance Developed for medical practitioners the vScope is a lightweight, multifunctional and practical videoscope with good image quality. The 63cm scope length , 5.4 mm diameter rechargeable scope provides an affordable alternative for many species either in clinic or in the field. www.kruuse.com The vScope, is a low investment alternative, that reduces the economical reason for not offering endoscopic examinations to clients. It is a cost-effective solution for clinics of all sizes, that allows mobile or multi site placement. The vScope low cost, releases flexibility of use to clinics that wish to expand there diagnostic potential but cannot justify the more expensive alternatives. The vScope allows clinics to dedicate several vScopes to single departments at low financial cost. Endoscopic investigation increases the diagnostic capability of clinic skill and service. Client compliance and acceptance with visual information from a videoscope improves and justifies the outlay cost. Compared to more expensive alternatives there are little or no maintenance costs. The vScope is classed as a disposable endoscope, field tests with veterinarians have shown the scope suitable for 10-15 procedures before it develops a weakness in the flexion of the tip. With a fully charged monitor the vScope will work for 90 minutes. the scope requires the same cleaning procedure as for their normal scopes. Screen color and resolution is adequate for most purposes. vScope is easy to control when scoping the respiratory tract and vagina, and with a little experience it can also be controlled through the ventricle, although flexion is possible only in 2 directions. vScope is easy to clean and in our hospital we were able to perform an average of 10-15 endoscopic examinations before it had to be discarded. The retrograde scoping of the nasal cavity in particular has to be done with caution in order not to break the wires that control flexion of the scope. The other procedures described cause minimal strain of the scope. The relatively low start-up cost makes the vScope competitive, especially for veterinarians who want to get started with endoscopic examinations. This makes it possible for clinics to have scopes dedicated to various tasks without being financially challenged.” Morten Johannessen, DVM Dyrehospital City Syd, Aalborg, Denmark “We were able to verify the performance of vScope, a semi-disposable endoscope, under clinical conditions at our veterinary hospital in Hamburg. The handling of the equipment was surprisingly easy while still producing an acceptable image quality. We found the equipment very useful, especially during our emergency services. Our younger staff members occasionally got a bit nervous during emergency procedures, so we were quite happy to be able to provide easy to handle low cost equipment which would not cost thousands of Euros and with no need for an experienced operator. The most frequent examinations we performed using the vScope were tracheoscopy, laryngoscopy and gastroscopy. We found vScope useful for fast and easy examinations. However, for higher quality images we still prefer the high-quality endoscopes at our clinic. Regarding gastroscopy, vScope is a convenient way to e.g. get an overview of the condition of the gastric mucosa. However, for more detailed examinations, the length of the scope is too short. In summary, the equipment is very useful to get a quick insight into the most important areas in acute patients as well as during routine examinations. The advantages of vScope lie in its low costs and easy handling.” KRUUSE© 07/2012 10030 Dr. Dr. med. vet. Wolf-Rainer Seeburg, DVM Hamburger Tierspital, Hamburg, Germany www.kruuse.com
