First National Bank Overdraft Privilege Service Overdraft Privilege Service will be applied to your account once your account has been open for thirty (30) days, providing you have made at least one (1) deposit for at least $400.00 and you have not had any insufficient items presented on the account (paid or returned). Please reference the Overdraft Privilege Service disclosure for detailed information regarding the Service. We are not obligated to pay any item presented for payment if your account has an insufficient balance or does not contain sufficient collected funds. Since this is a non-contractual courtesy, we reserve the right to revoke the overdraft privilege at anytime for any reason. We reserve the right to refuse payment of an overdraft for you, even though we may have previously paid overdrafts on your account. Since the privilege is a courtesy made available and extended solely at our discretion and is not a contractual obligation to advance funds, we are not obligated to pay any overdrafts at any time if we so choose. Further, in the event that we do determine to pay your overdrafts, we reserve the right to not approve any overdrafts against your account until we can verify that your account is being maintained in good standing as defined above. In the event that your account becomes inactive, we reserve the right to remove your overdraft limit. OVERDRAFT PRIVILEGE PROGRAM FEES: Whether we pay or return a Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) item, a flat per item handling fee will be charged to your account as an Overdraft (OD) Paid NSF Item or a Returned NSF Item, and you will be charged per day for every day the account is overdrawn after seven (7) consecutive days. More than one non-sufficient funds fee may be charged against your account per day, depending on the number of checks or items presented on, and other withdrawals made from your account. Transactions may not be processed in the order in which they occurred, and the order in which transactions are received and processed First National Bank can affect the total amount of overdraft and non-sufficient funds fees your account could be charged. The fees charged for covering overdrafts, as well as the amount of the overdraft item will be subtracted from any overdraft privilege limit disclosed. It is important to First National Bank that you fully understand the Overdraft Privilege Service and the fees that you can incur. A fee of $30.00 will be charged for each item that is presented as a Non-Sufficient Fund item (Overdraft Paid NSF or Returned NSF). You will be charged for a maximum of six (6) items per day; therefore, you could potentially be charged up to $180.00 per day. You will also be charged $1.00 per day if your account is insufficient seven (7) days. (You will not be charged a fee for any Overdraft Paid NSF that will cause your account to be overdrawn less than $5.00). You will be promptly notified of any non-sufficient funds items paid or returned that you may have; however, we have no obligation to notify you before we pay or return any item. The amount of any overdraft including any fees (Overdraft Paid NSF, Returned NSF, daily charge) that you owe us shall be due and payable upon demand, but if no demand is made, no later than 30 calendar days after the creation of the overdraft. If there is an overdraft on an account with more than one owner on the signature card, each owner and agent, if applicable, shall be jointly and severally liable for all overdrafts inclusive of fees. An insufficient funds (negative balance) may result from: A) The payment of checks, B) ATM withdrawals, debit card transactions, preauthorized automatic debits, telephone-initiated transfers, or other electronic transfers, C) Items deposited by you and returned unpaid, D) The imposition of bank service charges; or E) The deposit of items which according to the Bank’s funds availability Policy, are treated as not yet “available” or finally paid. IF YOU NEED HELP: Of course, overdrafts should not be used to pay ordinary or routine expenses and you should not rely on overdrafts as means to cover these expenses. The extensive use of the Overdraft Privilege Program will result in excessive fees. First National Bank offers personal consumer loans that may be less expensive than the Overdraft Privilege Service. These loans are made on a case-by-case basis and require application.
