for Counseling and Psychology Professions is

psychology courses that are required or strongly
recommended by graduate and professional
schools in social work, counseling and psychology.

Prerequisites for Admission
A bachelor’s degree is required for the Post-Baccalaureate
Program for Counseling and Psychology Professions.
Curriculum Requirements
The curriculum comprises 4 academic credit courses and
2 workshops for a total of 12 semester units and 2.4 ceu
(204 hours of instruction).
All coursework must be completed within
three years of registering for the program.
However, requirements may be updated
based on new developments in the field
of study; we recommend completing the
curriculum in a timely fashion.

Completion Requirements
You must take all credit courses for a letter grade. To receive the
Award of Completion, you must maintain an overall minimum 3.0
grade point average, with a grade of C or better in each course.
How to Register for This Specialized Program of Study
To register for the Post-Baccalaureate Program for Counseling and
Psychology Professions, submit the form at extension.berkeley.edu/
cert/register.html, along with the nonrefundable program registration
fee. You must also submit an official, sealed transcript from an
accredited undergraduate institution verifying that you earned a
