PROJECTS SANCTIONED AND COMPLETED
Ongoing Project Sanctioned to the Department of Saidla:
As of now a Collaborative Research Project entitled “Redesigning of Dosage Form of
Majoon-e-Dabidulward and Majoon-e-Flasfa into Tablet form along with their Physicochemical and Pharmacological Evaluations” is being undertaken by the Department in the year
2015. The Research grant amounting to Rs 30 lacs is provided by CCRUM, New Delhi. The
project will be completed in span of three years. At present one Senior Research fellow (Modern
Pharmacy) and one Senior Research fellow (Unani-Saidla) have been working in this project.
A short term Research project entitled “Comparative Chemical Analysis and Development
of SOPs of Unani Kushtajat prepared from Conventional as well as Modern Methods.”
sanctioned by Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), New Delhi in 2007
has been completed and the final report is submitted successfully.

Joint projects and collaborations with other departments/entities in the country or
abroad:
A project entitled “Development of Standard Operational Procedure (SOPs) / Standard
Manufacturing Process (SMP), Quality Assurance, Stability and Shelf life of some Unani
Formulations” has been sanctioned by the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and
Family Welfare, New Delhi in 2006 under Extra Mural Research Project Scheme. Initially for
the first phase 10 Unani formulations were allotted and in second phase 10 more Unani
formulations were allotted. Final report is submitted successfully.
