University of Washington Professional & Continuing Education School Library Media Endorsement Program Important Start-Up Information UW NetID NOTE: Your UW NetID (with password) is your personal identification for using UW online resources. A UW NetID is required of everyone associated with the University of Washington who plans on using online central administrative programs and computing services. Once your UW NetID is established, you may connect to MyUW to view your registration schedule and grades and access information about University resources and activities. Your UW NetID remains the same throughout your life, no matter what associations you have with the University of Washington. You will need the following information to create your NetID: UW Student ID Number This is a seven-digit number that is your official University of Washington student identification number. The UW ID number is printed on the Transaction Summary mailed to you after registering for a credit class. Please keep a copy of your numbers in a safe place. UW ID numbers are not released over the telephone. Private Access Code After registering for a credit class, you will also receive a letter providing your private access code (PAC). This code is required to establish your UW NetID. Campus Maps: http://www.washington.edu/home/maps/ FOR SUMMER COURSES YOU NEED: UW ID card and Husky Card™ Account UW ID cards are available to nonmatriculated students enrolled in credit courses. The UW ID card may also be used as a Husky Card™ debit card which is required to pay for printing at the campus libraries and computer labs. To activate your Husky Card™ debit account, simply make a deposit at a payment location using cash or check or through the Online Card Office using Visa or MasterCard. The Husky Card™ is accepted at campus dining facilities to pay for meals and at the Montlake parking lot to pay for parking. Cards may be obtained at the Husky Card office located on the ground floor of the Odegaard Undergraduate Library next to the By George Cafe between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. U-PASS You may purchase a U-PASS for the summer for $132 at the UW Educational Outreach Registration Services Office, located at 4311 11th Ave NE, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will need to present a Washington State driver’s license or your UW ID card. The U-PASS is a chip embedded into your Husky Card. To activate your U-PASS, you’ll need to pass your Husky Card in front of an ORCA card reader found at the front of all Metro, Community Transit, and Sound Transit vehicles and on the Sounder commuter train. You have 60 days to activate your U-PASS once you receive it. For more information, call 206-543-0450 or visit U-Pass. PARKING Parking is often a challenge around the UW campus. The daily parking fee is $15.00 per day between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays (prorated if you stay less than four hours). The night parking rate begins at 5 p.m. and is $5.00 per night. A weekend rate of $5.00 is charged when parking on Saturdays between 7 a.m. to noon. Most street parking is metered with a two-hour maximum.
