Your scenic drive from the Port of Tauranga takes you from Mount Maunganui through to
our first stop at KIWI360. Learn how kiwifruit are grown, take a tour through the orchard
then sample the fruit, the wine and your free icecream before you board your vehicle again
to continue the drive to ROTORUA.
Leaving Kiwi360 behind, we travel to Rotorua through beautiful New Zealand countryside
to arrive at SKYLINE SKYRIDES – the most spectacular way to take in the 180 degree
views of Lake Rotorua, the city and surrounding district.
To begin your Skyline adventure, take a leisurely uphill Gondola ride and enjoy the
extensive views of Rotorua. At the top, the thrill of the Luge awaits! The Luge is a 3 wheel,
gravity based cart and is a world first. With three different track options and over 5kms of
track to ride, once is certainly never enough!
The whole family will enjoy the fun Jelly Belly gallery and store or just for the adults is the
new Volcanic Hills winery and tasting room.
There is a restaurant as well as a cafe so enjoy lunch at Skyline Skyrides (this is not
included in the cost) before re-boarding your vehicle and travelling into Rotorua to see the
main sights of this geothermal city – including the famous Government Gardens, lakefront
and scenic sights.
Our final stop for the day is at HAMURANA SPRINGS with stunning crystal clear waters,
huge redwood trees and bird life at the sanctuary. Now you re-board your coach for the
return drive back to the passenger gate at the Port of Tauranga.
