Chief Accountant (Ref: Budapest, CHA/1214)
The suitable candidate should have a passion for accounting and experience in this field. The role
reports to the Financial Manager.
Main responsibilities

Processes accounting transactions both per Hungarian and Greek GAAP

Performs various accounting tasks, including cooperation with parent and mother company in
AR/AP reconciliation

Ensures adherence to company’s policies and procedures and coordination in audit procedures

Proactively performs preventive quality controls and initiates corrective actions when necessary

Produces accounting reports and monthly/quarterly/yearly statistics

Processes and controls invoices, bank statements and salaries in SAP system

Cooperates with tax authorities in case of tax reviews
Main Qualifications

University degree in Accounting or Finance

A post graduate degree in a related field is considered an asset

5 - 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational company

Excellent knowledge of the English language; Hungarian will be considered an asset

Up to date knowledge of Greek accounting

Very good knowledge of ERP accounting packages, preferably SAP

Very good knowledge of MS Office applications and especially Excel




