Program Goals
This is a 36-week program, which begins each
January and prepares a class of 4 interns for:
1. Prepare interns graduates for
dietetic registration and graduation
of entry-level dietitians.
2. Stimulate professional and personal
growth for each intern graduate and
emphasize quality performance.

The interns will receive clinical experience, training
and counseling from the 15 Registered Dietitians
who serve on the Internship Faculty, as well as
related professionals at Hurley Medical Center.
The student must meet the minimum
academic requirements to apply for a
dietetic internship, which include a
baccalaureate degree from a regionally
accredited college or university and
completion of an approved/accredited
Didactic Program in Dietetics.
2. Verification statement issued by the
program director of your school.
3. The student must have a minimum
cumulative grade point average (G.P.A.)
of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, or 5.0 on a 6.0 scale.
4. The student must have a minimum DPD
grade point average (G.P.A.) of 3.0 on a
4.0 scale, or 5.0 on a 6.0 scale.
5. Pass physical exam (at Hurley) and show
evidence of personal health insurance.

Intern Expenses
The tuition fee is $4,000. Other expenses include food,
