Help design the 2017 Official State Livestock Show T-Shirt that is sold at district shows and the state show! Use your artist skills to design the back of the Official Livestock show t-shirt. The winner of the design contest will have their artwork printed on the shirt, receive a free long or short sleeve State Livestock Show T-shirt, $25 cash, and recognition. Come to 4-H Officer Training! If you are a club officer or are interested in being a club officer, we will hold the Lincoln Parish 4-H Office Training on Oct. 24 at Ruston Elementary School. The training will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be done at 7:30 p.m. This training is required for all Lincoln Parish 4-H Club Officers. My Heart Rate My resting heart rate: 15-second heart rate X4= __________ beats per minute. My heart rate after physical activity: 15-second heart rate X4 =________ beats per minute. My maximum heart rate: beats per minute. To find you maximum heart rate (MHR), start with 220 and subtract your age. Example, for 16-year-old teen: 220 - 16 = 204 MHR. To gain the greatest benefit for your cardiovascular system (heart and blood vessels), set a goal to exercise at the heart rate between 70% and 85% of your maximum heart rate MHR). That’s your target rate zone. My target heart rate zone: to beats per minute. To find your target heart rate (THR) zone, multiply MHR by 70% to 85% of MHR. Formula for low end of target heart rate zone: MHR X 0.7 = THR Example, for 16-year-old teen: 204 X 0.7 = 143 beats per minute (rounded).
