Our program is modeled after the GS1 US National Data Quality program, but includes some additional attribute validations specific to Target. We perform the audits on your product already in our stores and distribution centers so we do not request additional product samples from you. The results of our program indicate there is significant room for improvement in supplier provided product data. Less than 10% of suppliers audited have received a passing score. We strongly suggest you review ALL the product data you supply to Target for accuracy before you are included in our program. If you are going to be included in our certification program, we will only give you notice 7-10 days prior to your audit. Target will be a Guest Speaker at the September 30th GS1 US Data Quality Workshop in Atlanta GA. We will be sharing how our DQ program is structured and how it complements the GS1 program. Target will be sharing our data quality stats on supplier provided data and how they show the need for DQ improvement that the GS1 National DQ programGLN would provide. Target 0085239000007 New Product Information Management tool launched at Target Earlier this month, Target launched a new Product Information Management (PIM) tool that will be used in tandem with our Item Management (IMN) system. Target’s Global Data Synchronization processes will not change as a result of the PIM tool launch. However, you should become familiar with Target’s tools and processes to discover additional efficiencies in supplying Target with accurate product data. The Vendor Item Learning Plan is posted to Partners Online. All training is self-paced and can be assessed at any time.
