Summer Band Options
Before school starts, our band program offers 3 classes to get students ready for the
new school year! Below are details about each offering.
Beginning Band Details
Any student who will be starting band during the 2017-18 school year is encouraged to attend these
classes. This instruction will provide a great head start without the pressure of homework. It is a fun
and valuable way to spend some summer time meeting and making new friends. Below is a list of
supplies and recommended equipment beginning band students will need. Supplies can be purchased
at the band room on Monday, July 24 before rehearsal begins. Make checks payable to Lewis Palmer
Middle School.







Jazz Band Details
We will need players with one or more years’ experience playing saxophone, trumpet, trombone,
piano, drum, bass guitar and guitar for a fun time with jazz and rock.
Patriot Band Details
This class is for musicians that have been playing a band instrument for 1 or more years. We invite
you to continue with us during summer band and share a few “musical weeks” with old friends. We
will have a great time playing pop tunes and more. We look forward to seeing all of you!
