AG-003: Mitigation of N2O emissions from tea land soil by applying chemical fertilizers containing
nitrification inhibitor
[Mitigation method]

Mitigate N2O emission from tea land soil by applying chemical fertilizer containing nitrification inhibitor or
compound fertilizer containing lime nitrogen, thereby reducing the amount of fertilizer used before and project
implementation.
[Eligibility criteria]

The chemical fertilizer containing nitrogen other than lime nitrogen or the organic fertilizer before project
implementation are replaced with chemical fertilizer mixed with dicyandiamide or compound fertilizer containing
lime nitrogen.
Tea is cultivated in soil applied chemical fertilizer containing nitrification inhibitor or compound fertilizer containing
lime nitrogen.
There must be no changes in the fertilization method or the management method for defoliation and pruning
observed before and after the project implementation.
Data on the average amounts of fertilizer application are available at least for one year prior to the project
implementation.
