The season begins with a celebration weekend in
honor of festival founder Alan Iglitzin and his thirty-one
seasons of extraordinary leadership. Iglitzin is joined
by his closest colleagues in a performance of the two
passionate string sextets by Johannes Brahms. Join us
for a coffee & cake reception following the concert.

Children and their families embark on a fairytale
journey, narrated by GardenMusic education director
Gabriel Globus-Hoenich, that leads them through a
magical garden full of musical wonders while learning
about instruments, teamwork, and how music touches
our lives. The concert will last approximately one hour.
Sarah Chang is considered one of the greatest
violinists of our time. She performs alongside OMF
artistic director Julio Elizalde at this landmark Summer
Gala. Tickets are expected to sell out. Order early to
ensure your place for this event.

Franck's Piano Quintet, inspired by a forbidden
romantic obsession, angered his colleagues and
electrified an entire generation of young composers.
Schubert's transcendent String Quintet was written
in the final year of his life as he confronted his own
mortality. Cellist Meta Weiss debuts.
This classic Beethoven Festival weekend centers
around the composer's most famous works that include
the stormy Violin Sonata in C minor and the virtuosic
"Ghost" Piano Trio. Grammy-nominated violinist
Caroline Goulding debuts.

Virtuoso violinist Ray Chen returns to the OMF for a
third year in a row. Chen, winner of the 2009 Queen
Elisabeth Competition, has taken the world by storm
with a playing style reminiscent of the great violinists
from the golden age.

As an encore to the 2015 summer season, the OMF is
throwing a party! Grammy-nominated violinist Jeremy
Kittel has performed with many famous musicians of
our time, including Bela Fleck and Mark O'Connor. He
brings his band to the OMF barn to perform music
from bluegrass, jazz, and Celtic traditions.
