My name is David McCulla and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support with our baseball program and also to introduce myself as your 2013 WMBA House League Director. Some of you may know me from my prior WMBA involvement - whether it be coaching, XTRA Innings, or last year as Assistant House League Director. To those that I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting, please feel free to come up and introduce yourself if you see me at any of the many WMBA events we have planned for this season. of a parent, coach, and baseball fan, my vision as House League Director is to provide a positive environment where players, coaches, umpires, and parents can have fun, develop, and have the best baseball experience possible. Thad will also be working closely with Keith McGregor, WMBA Secretary, to help ensure all our coaches are in compliance with our CIR policy. Steve Smith, having spent the previous three years coaching and/or convening Blast Ball, T-ball, and First Pitch, will be working closely with the conveners and coaches in these divisions. Steve will also play a leading role in our communication efforts this season. Preston Wasmund, while in his inaugural season on the WMBA executive, comes to us with an impressive baseball resume. His vast knowledge of the game coupled with his extensive playing experience will serve him well in his roles as our Coach & Player Development Liaison and Rally Cap assistant. The Whitby Chiefs rep program sent numerous coaches to the first ever Blue Jays Baseball Academy Coaches Clinic on January 4-6, and also sent coaches to the annual Best Ever Coaches Clinic on January 18-20. The clinic was a huge success, and is definitely recommended for all coaches (rep or house league) in future years!
