OVERVIEW This document contains release notes for the SR 1.50 release. System Restore (SR) is a solution used to quickly recover a system after catastrophic failure. With a few easy steps, System Restore can recover a failed system onto similar hardware, dissimilar hardware, or a virtual machine. This gives customers a unified solution that eliminates the need for multiple backups and restores, and dramatically reduces downtime. SR version 1.50 must be used in combination with Windows Agent 6.85 or greater for GPT (GUID Partition Table) and OEM support. 1.1 Release History and Changes Version 1.50.1631, August 2nd, 20111.2. FIXES AND KNOWN ISSUES 4.1 Fixes in this Release BMR backup with OEM partition fails with errors: ENVC-E-04096 InitEnvInfo failed to fix volume D: partition number. This has been fixed in this release. (20768) OS is not shown in drop-down list. Cannot perform repair. This has been fixed in this release. (20744) Restore attempt may hang when restoring to dynamic partition when using "format" partition. This has been fixed in this release. (20682) Restoring to last free partition may hang. This has been fixed in this release. (20681) 4.2 Known Issues Cannot login to an ESR Restored server. NIC is not available to activate, and without activation you cannot login to the server to apply the NIC driver. WORKAROUND: Use the same NIC hardware as the source for the target, or contact Microsoft to activate the server,or use a commercial grade NIC on the server to have network connectivity for Windows license activation. (7399) BitLocker compatibility issues: Backups and Restores with BitLocker will succeed, however, BitLocker is not persevered. BitLocker is not supported. (7366,7353,7308)Mount Points are not supported. (7354) Windows User Quota feature is in a disabled state after restoring a Quota Enabled backup image. WORKAROUND: Re-enable the quotas after the restore. (7307) Driver injection functionality to enable installation from *.exe files. The ESR application allows a user to inject a missed network driver by pointing to the INF file on your local drive. This is not suitable for some of Intel's network drivers, which are packaged as one EXE file and require installation. To install some of Intel's network drivers, you will need toexecute the SetupBD.exe file located on a USB attached drive.***The following steps are required to execute this driver injection: 1. Access driver file .exe located at the USB drive attachedto this local machine through WinPE command line. 2. Run the SetupBD.exe file. 3. Installs drivers for Intel Network connections.(7296) 8 5.
