As the first in a long line of golf course designs by Lyndy Lindsey, Lakeside Village was originally drawn up to be just that, a village. When owners wondered what could be done with the unused greenspace in the center of the complex, Lyndy Lindsey immediately responded, “Let’s build a golf course.” The rest is history. An original idea joined with this beautiful piece of landscape created 9 holes of Par 3 heaven and it has matured into everything that the designer had imagined. The green is surrounded and wrapped with rock on three sides. 2 3 95 This green has 3 levels and slopes to water. A flower bed is the backdrop to the hole and a sand trap on the left can catch a ball from going into the water. 3 3 85 A difficult hole, but very attractive--an 85-yard shot over water and water is on three sides of the green. 4 3 130 The best thing about this hole is that it is not over water! There is water to the left and a sand trap to the right. The green slopes to the water. 5 3 135 Water surrounds this hole on three sides. The green is 3-tiered, with the back level being blind to the golfer from the tee. 6 3 100 With a long and narrow green, a golfer must choose the right club for a successful shot. There are two sand traps in front of the green and water on the left. This hole can be birdied, but requires a precise shot. 7 3 130 The signature hole...very similar to #12 at Augusta National. Backed by a hillside of pine trees and dogwoods, this hole is a natural beauty. 8 3 135 No. 8 is wrapped by an amphitheater of trees, with water on the left and bunker on the right. The hole falls 40 feet to the green. 9 3 120 Known as “Alcatraz,” this hole is an island green with a view of the mountains in the background-- a great hole to finish on. All members and guests must sign-in at the Pro Shop before beginning play. 5. All play must start at Hole No. 1 and should continue in consecutive order. 6. Tee-off is from the designated markers only. 7. Proper golf etiquette should be exercised at all times. Courtesy toward other players is required including but not limited to, no yelling or excessive noise, insuring other groups are out of range before playing, faster players should be allowed to play through, repairing all ball marks. 8. Each player must have his/her own clubs. 9. Anyone renting or operating a golf cart must be at least 16 years of age. 10. Golf carts must be kept on the cart paths at all times, unless notices are posted permitting the 90-Degree Rule (allows player to turn cart at a right angle from the cart path to proceed to ball in play). 11. Walking or bicycling is not allowed on the golf course. 12. Golfers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult (experienced golfers may receive special permission to play without an adult at management’s discretion.) 13.
