Short lilc and commencement -(i) These Rules may be called "The Bihar
Clcrical Service (Arnendment) Rules, 2017.
(ii) 11 shall come into fbrce from the date of Notification No-5046 datcd
11.04.2014 issued by the General Adminislration Depanment rhar is ti-onr

Substitution of Sub rule (5) of rule 7 ol the Bihar Secretariat Clerical Scrvice
Rules. 2006 (as amended time to time):- Sub rule (5) of rule 7 of the said llules.
2006 shall be sr,rbstituted by the following provision:" (5) I{cmaining filieen percent (15%) posrs ol'aurhorised srrength shall be
lillcd by pronrotion on the basis of seniority liom such Intermediate passed Group 'D'
emplol'ecs. uorking in the regular establishment of tlre Secretarial Departments and its
attachcd oftices by the concerned appointing authorit).
Provided that such promoted Lower Division Clerk shall not be entitled to an)
subsequent incremenl. alier the first increment. until they pass the Computef
Competency Iest and Hindi Noting lurd Drafting Exanrination. l-heir service on thc
post of Lower Division Clerk may be confirmed. only atler passing thc said
