What’s for Lunch?
How long is my intestine? Why are some teeth sharp and some flat? Year
4 will deliberate on these digestive dilemmas and more as they learn about
the human digestive system and teeth.
Spring 2
‘The Enchantress of the Sands’ draws the children in to discover the
folktales of Africa. Culminating in a mysterious shadow puppet play, the
children investigate the science of light and shadow and the African art of
shadow puppets.

Amazing Aztecs and Mysterious Mayans
“I came, I saw, I conquered!” Julius Caesar will become the focus of Year
3’s attention as they take an epic voyage back to Roma, via Pompeii.
They investigate the lifestyles of the Romans and the incredible journeys
Roman soldiers undertook in the name of the empire. Ending their
journey in Londinium, the children will prepare for an exhibition of epic
proportions!
Human sacrifice, fleeing conquistadors and mystifying temple ruins are just
some of the baffling enigmas Year 4 will encounter on their travels through
South America. Beginning in Mexico with the Aztecs, the children journey
south to the Mayan ruins and further on to the Andes, Amazon and
Atacama – and don’t forget the super perilous Cape Horn! A daring
journey - not for the faint of heart!
