Walk-n-Talk Book Club

We will gather in the parking lot and then walk the trail while
we discuss Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman. Our next read
will be Piece of the World by Christina Baker Kline on June
22. If the weather is not cooperating we will meet by the
fireplace in the library.

Music
Hobbies & Crafts Reference Center:
Hundreds of books and articles on dozens
of hobbies and crafts for beginners and
experts alike!
The library offers free downloadable and
streaming music through the freegal
music service. Listen online through a web
browser, or download the (also free) freegal
app from the Google Play Store or iTunes!

Reading By Design!

MakerSpace @ Your Library
Cricut
Have you ever wanted to make some fun party invitations or
custom thank you notes? You have a Cricut to use at your
library! The only fee is .50 per piece of library card stock
that you use. Bring in your own paper supplies and there is
no fee! Beware, learning the design space can be tricky. Call
ahead to schedule a time to learn.
MakerBot Replicator 5th Generation
Dunlap Public Library owns a 3D Printer for YOU to use. It’s
only $1.00 per hour to print, so come in, learn from us, and
let your imagination soar! We are here to help, please ask us
your questions.
LittleBits
Young children can learn how circuits work by designing
hardware with LittleBits! Choose from motors, lights, fans,
buzzers, and so much more to make whatever you can
imagine.
Sewing Machines
The library has two Brother Simplicity SB3129 sewing
machines and one Brother 3034D Serger for use by the
public. There is no fee for using these machines, but you
must bring your own fabric and thread.
Ozobots
Coding for kids is everywhere! Your child can use these fun
interactive toy robots to code, play, and create. The Ozobots
respond to color codes drawn on paper for their movement
and behavior, so you can create endless challenges, games,
and mazes!
Embroidery Machine
Our Brother Innovis 2800D is preloaded with dozens of useful
and fun embroidery designs, including a collection of Disney
designs. Additional embroidery designs can be loaded to the
machine from our Embroidery Design Collection. The fee
is $5.00, plus $1.00 per 1000 stitches if using our thread and
backing material. If using your own supplies the fee is $1.00
per 1000 stitches. Fees are waived only during instructional
programs unless otherwise stated.

Reading by Design!
Get ready to design, discover, and
build - Summer Reading is almost
here! Join us for six weeks of fun
with a wide variety of programs,
performers, and prizes! Read your
favorite library books, old and new,
track your progress, and reach your
reading goals.
Points will be awarded based
on minutes read, giving you the
opportunity to achieve Novice,
Apprentice, Inventor, or Master status
at our Prize Party! The higher the
level, the bigger the prize!
Attend a library program each
week to earn Design Badge pins.
Collect all six pins to become a Chief
Designer, earn a special prize, and be
entered in our Chief Designer raffle.
Attending additional programs will
give you more chances in the raffle!
Early-bird sign up opens on June 1.
Registration is free and open to all.
