You who abide in all the spheres of the universe and in the
Ten Directions, all you Tathagatas, Arhats,
Fully Enlightened Ones, the
Bhagawan, all the living Enlightened Ones,
The Buddhas and Blessed Ones:
Please listen to me,
All the non-virtuous deeds
I have done in this life and all lives beginningless and endless,
Taking rebirth in the wheel of suffering of samsara,
And the non-virtuous deeds I have urged others do;
All the non-virtuous deeds I have rejoiced in seeing others do;
For whatever offerings made to the Temples,
The community of monks and nuns,
To the Sangha of the Ten Directions which I have taken
Or urged others to take,
Or rejoiced in seeing others take;
For whatever five heinous crimes I have committed,
Urged others to commit
Or rejoiced in seeing others commit;
For whatever of the ten non-virtuous actions I have committed,
Urged others to commit,
Or rejoiced in seeing others commit;
For all the stains of karma I have committed
that caused beings to be born in hell,
To be born in an animal form,
To be born as a hungry spirit,
To be born in a country without Dharma,
To be born as a barbarian,
To be born as a long-life god,
To be born with defective senses,
To be born believing in wrong views;
For whatever non-virtuous deeds I have committed,
The karmic result by which I am impeded from Enlightenment,
Before the Buddhas who have transcendental knowledge
Who have eyes of wisdom,
Who bear witness to truth,
Who are perfect examples,
In the presence of the Buddha's all-seeing wisdom, I confess,
I declare,
I will not hide,
Will not conceal.
In the future, I promise to keep these vows I have made.
All the Enlightened Ones, the Bhagawan, please listen to me.
I pray that in this life and
All my lives beginningless and endless wandering again and
again in the wheel of life whatever root of virtue I have made
by giving to animals, giving them even a mouthful of food
What ever root of virtue there is in keeping the rules of morality,
Whatever root of virtue there is in keeping the root of celibacy;
Whatever root of virtue there is in leading sentient beings to virtuous deeds;
Whatever root of virtue there is in generating the
Supreme Enlightened Thought;
Whatever root of virtue there is in the wisdom
of the Transcendent Ones The gathering of all these merits I dedicate
To the Peerless Ones,
To the Supreme Ones,
To the Most Supreme Ones,
The Gurus of the Guru
In order to attain Supreme Enlightenment.
Just as the Buddhas in the past have shared merit,
Just as the Buddhas in the future will share merit,
Just as the Buddhas of the present are sharing merit,
I , too, shall share the merit.
I declare all my non-virtuous deeds,
I rejoice in all virtuous deeds.
To all the Buddhas gathered here together
I beseech and pray
That I may attain the Supreme Transcendent Wisdom
that goes beyond.
Whoever are the most excellent among men,
The Victorious Ones who lived in the past, living now,
will live in the future.
I praise in their pure virtues, boundless as the ocean.
With folded hands, I take refuge in them from my heart.
