Me: Who am I?

• What am I passionate about?
• What makes me get up in the morning?
The Company / Project
• Explain the company / project
• What it does?
• What it wants to do?
You and your work
• What do you want to do next?

• Why is it important that you do the work?
• What are your methods as an artist
Practice a 2/3 minute presentation.
Strengths of a good presentation
• Clear description of project and company.
• A little background
• Story / Examples
• What is next for you and/or the company
• Connect it to you as an artist.
Tips for presentations
• One liner as an introduction – If you are a poet or writer why not use a line of your writing.
• Keep it concise. DO NOT give your life story or list your CV
Tips for surviving a Networking Event
• You can ask questions – who are you? What do you do?
• Don’t waste time selling your project/work to the wrong person
• Have a clear short description of your work / project / company.
Presenting yourself on paper
Biography – Have a short paragraph summarising you and your experience.
C.V – Know who you are talking to and what you want to say.
You do not want to come across as a marketing person – it doesn’t need to be a detached pitch.
Remember the people listening are interested in the artist so keep some of the artist in there.
Get used to your 2 minute pitch.
