Element Six Ltd, have for somc months been in discussions with a company callcd Prime EnCrgy Ltd, who have developed a feasibility study for the location of a Biomass Fuelled CHP in the Shannon Industrial Estate. The proposed plant under review is a Biomass Fuelled Combined Heat and Power Plant capable of producing 3.5MW of electricity into the National grid and 12MW of heat in the form of hot water or steam with oil tired backup system. A portion of our site has been identifkd by Prime Energy Ltd as an appropriate location for the CHP - ns en Plant. The proposed site is located on the eastern side of our site and consists of 2 acre field and one building called Bay1 6, which is currently OUT dry goods store. (Drg. No. 0291 000101 1 attached). There are no aerial emissions, aqueous emission, surface or ground water monitoring points within the proposed site of the CI-IP Plant. Co Element Six Ltd have granted Prime Energy Ltd permission to seek planning permission for the plant on our site and subject to planning approval, Element Six Ltd plan to sell this portion of our site to the developer / operator of the CEIP plant (Prime / Atlas Energy Ltd). The proposed CHP plant will be managed and operated independently of Element Six Ltd and the CNP plant operator will be seeking all necessary licences and permits from both Care COCOand the EPA as required. Element Six Ltd are seeking permission from the Agency to excise this portion of the site from our IPC Licence by way of a technical arnendmcnt to our licence, so that this land can be sold to the developer / operator of thc CHP plant. Element Six Ltd wish to confirm that we intent to be a power and steam customer of the CHP plant when the plant is fully operational.
