Guidelines for waste sorting

Guidelines for waste sorting
Valid from April 4, 2016
Welcome to the team
We need a strong team
– when we take sorting of waste to the next level
It is important to sort your waste, as it contains many resources, which can be
re-used. Join our team’ Sammenholdet’ and help optimise recycling of waste.
These guidelines will tell you where the various types of waste belong. The
containers which are placed where you live, are clearly marked with coloured
icons, making it easy to see, which container you should use for the various
types of waste. You may have containers with two compartments or singleroom containers. In either case, you have to sort the waste in the same way.
You can also read about the bulky waste collection, which you can use for the
recycleable waste, which you cannot put in the containers. This could be for
instance clothes, shoes, furniture and other large items.
If you have waste that you do not know how to sort, you can use our app:
AffaldGenbrug Vejle. Read more on the reverse of this folder. You can also send
en email to: [email protected] or call us.: +45 76 81 28 00.
Thank you for being a part of Veje Kommunes team for better

Household waste
– Remember to close the bag
Put your organic waste in the green bags, which we provide. The bags will be
delivered to your door once every year in September. You can choose which
bags you use for the general waste. We recommend that you don’t fill bags too
much. Make sure you can close them with a knot to avoid that your container
gets dirty.

Place papir, plastic and metal
loose in the container
Due to the further handling of the waste, you must place it loose in the
container. If for instance you collect your waste in a bag, you must empty the
bag in the container. Put the empty plastic bag in the compartment for metal
and plastic or use it again.
Crush and squeeze your packaging. The less room the waste takes up, the
more you can fit in the container. Also remember to rinse the packaging, e.g.
the tins. If you cannot clean it with cold water, put it in general waste.
Doubts about how to sort
the waste? Use our app
Our app: AffaldGenbrug Vejle
will tell you where to put the different types
of waste when you are at home or when you
visit the recycling center!
Search for the type of waste you have
doubts about in the menu: Sortering.
The app will tell you which
container to use at the
recycling center and which
container to use at home.
The app is free and available
for IOS, Android and Windows.
