Watching the expression that comes across
a child’s face when they are excited about a simple life experience is precious to
all who see it. During a childhood walk in the woods, there are many treasures to
gather. There may be a little grey rock, a white fluffy dandelion or the long, brown
feather of a hawk that will bring a smile, a laugh or a squeal of excitement that
lets all around know that this is a great adventure with treasures to gather and a
magnificent story to tell later. Such is the case for each of our lives. We have all
had the opportunity to take many walks throughout the years, gathering
special treasures along the way. There is the cherished treasure of family, memories
good and bad that bring tears to our eyes. There is the beauty of any precious
moment that lingers for a lifetime. There are cherished life surprises that may
have brought challenges to strengthen us for an upcoming event. There is the joy
of discovering talents and skills that benefit us and those in our lives. There are
special gifts of friendship and sweet thoughts of days gone by. And there is an
abundance of so many more blessings to consider. Remembering always, it is
the simple things in life that are the most extraordinary.
With love,

community. A few of the items they are requesting
are: paper napkins, 10 oz. plastic drink cups, luncheon-size paper plates, and cookie and brownie
mixes. A full list of items for Hospice House can be
found in the Message Center. Please drop off your
donations in the Wellness Center.
