Introduction
Located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Burj Khalifa is the tallest artificial structure
in the world, standing at 2,722 feet, almost 1,000 feet higher than the CN Tower.
Burj Dubai holds many world records, most notably the building with the most
floors (163), highest occupied floor (1,918 feet), highest outdoor observation deck
(124th floor at 1,483 feet) and obviously, highest elevator installation.
Canadian Xpress® would like to invite all pilots to join us for our July 2016 fly-in
where we will visit this amazing feat of engineering by departing from Heydar
Aliyev International (UBBB) in Baku, Azerbaijan and fly to Dubai International
(OMDB).

Heydar Aliyev International has 2 runways; the 13,123’ 16/34 and the 10,499’
17/35. Depending on surface winds, we should fly the:

OMDB Arrival
Dubai has 2 runway, the 14,108’ 12L/30R and the 14,590’ 12R/30L. Airport
elevation is 62’. Arriving from the north, we will fly either the:

DESDI 8A or 8B Arrival (DESDI transition) for the 12s
DESDI 8C or 8D Arrival (DESDI transition) for the 30s
which will set us up for either an ILS or RNAV approach into Dubai Intl.
