JOB SUMMARY
The Diversity Coordinator will work to create a Diversity Plan to increase Kennedy Catholic’s
cultural competency, academic excellence and student preparation. The Diversity Coordinator
will address issues of diversity, promote an awareness and understanding and will begin a
permanent series of programming to further enrich the appreciation of diversity on campus. The
Diversity Coordinator will work with athletic and extracurricular programming to ensure
academic success of all participants. The Diversity Coordinator will assist with community
outreach and admissions. The Diversity Coordinator will assist with the implementation of the
Career and College Pathways Program.
Salary commensurate upon experience and credentials

Education & Experience
• College degree earned
• Dedication to the mission of Kennedy Catholic High School
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative and professional environment
• Strategic-thinking skills and experience designing and implementing innovative, effective and
sustainable diversity and inclusion programs;
• Organized, detail-oriented, resourceful and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
under varying deadlines;
• Flexibility, sensitivity and diplomacy and the outstanding interpersonal skills necessary to work
collaboratively with multiple constituencies;
• Project management skills in implementing complex programs, supervising personnel and
handling a budget;

• Assist with Career and College Pathways Program
 Attend Admissions events, career fairs and college fairs as needed. Some events may occur in the
evening.
 Lead a Diversity Committee to initiate a Diversity Strategic Plan
 Determine measures of success of our inclusion work, monitor longitudinally and initiate
interventions as appropriate;
 Engage and assist with Curriculum/Instruction and Adult Professional Development; aimed at
teaching and learning to think critically about cultural diversity and equity;
 Support students in their efforts as they engage in diversity and equity learning and work.








Plan, develop, and market diversity and inclusion-focused education, programs, and events for
faculty, staff, students and families; and professional development workshops and programming
for faculty and staff.
Develop student leadership in matters related to diversity, equity, and inclusion;
With Campus Life Office, respond to diversity- and equity-related issues among the student body
as they arise;
Assist the Director of Admissions in the recruitment and retention of students and families
Work with Counseling Center to plan and implement the internship/externship program
Solicit internship opportunities, complete internship agreements and monitor program
Monitor students throughout the internship placement
