Bristol Central High School Football Booster Club Minutes
November 7, 2011
The meeting was called to order by Tom White at 6:30 p.m.
In attendance
Tom and Marie White, Joyce Weglarz, Gina Engels, Ivonne Hamm, Cassie Jacobs, Valeria McQuarrie,
Michele Hildebrand, Ted Glowa, Brian Burney, Scott Hall, Sabrina Clayton and Kim Martin

Approval of Minutes
The minutes were reviewed and a motion was made by Ted Glowa to accept the minutes and it was
seconded by Gina Engels. All members that were present agreed to accept the minutes.
Budget
Treasurer provided update on checking account balance. Money was given to Treasurer for the Calendar
sale. There is an invoice waiting to be paid by the City for the delivery of the Bleachers.
New Business
Calendar sale – There are still 36 calendars outstanding from players (15 JV and 16 Freshmen).
These players either need to hand in the money or return the calendars. The
cheerleaders sold $930. Debbie Landrum sold 40 calendars! Check the website for winners. Player
winner for week 1 is Jarod Michaels.
Senior Dinner – planned date is November 17th. A meal is prepared for all Senior players and their
families, there are about 18 players at this time. It will be held in the Café. Planning of this meal
has been finalized.
Banquet – Please note, Date change – December 12, not December 6!
Date: December 12, 2011
Where: BCHS Café
Time: 7:00 – 9:30 pm
Who: All players, coaches and their families and cheerleaders, chaingang, David Greenleaf,
Principal, Mr DeSantis and Ellen from BOE.
Cost: Players are free – cost of all other is $20 per person.
Mark your calendars!
Invitations will be mailed by November 18th.
Banquet Cater: Prices and menus from Guy Malley, Southside, Martinos, Nuchies, LaFamiglia
were compared. A motion was made by Kim to use Southside as the caterer for the banquet, it
was seconded by Marie White and all in attendance voted in favor. The Menu will include: Ziti,
Meatballs & sausage, Chicken francaise, top round sirloin, veggie medley, roasted red potatoes,
salad, bread, coffee, tea, soda, utensils, disposable plates. The booster club will purchase cake for
dessert. The caterer will charge $15 per person.

Decorations for Banquet – Gina will create centerpieces, Sabrina will get tablecloths. Michele will
prepare something for Senior players.
Bonfire – Tommy will speak to coach – need to purchase gifts for all players.
Meals for games – Varsity game is home at Muzzy Field against E.O Smith at 7:00 pm. The meal
will be served at 3:30, food needs to be picked up at 3:15. Helpers and servers should arrive
around 3:00 pm. Val will prepare salad at Polish club and get yogurt. Ted will get all supplies.
Flowers for Thanksgiving Game - Kelley Glowa has ordered the flowers.
Posters for Banquet – Dave Greenleaf has agreed to do posters again.
Ted will get bananas this week for Freshmen and Varsity game.

Motion to adjourn was made at 8:00 p.m. and was passed unanimously.
